How Triage works
Intelligence that earns its autonomy.
Triage doesn't ask for permission up front. It starts in suggestion-only mode, learns your priorities, and builds a trust score based on how well its suggestions match your decisions. Once it hits 97 % — you unlock autonomous mode.
Step by step
From install to autonomous.
Install & set up your vault
Triage creates an AES-256 encrypted vault on your device during first launch. No account, no cloud setup — just a local key only you hold. Your data never leaves this vault.
Connect your inbox
Link your email account via a local OAuth flow. Triage reads and processes messages entirely on-device. No email content is ever sent to a server — not even ours.
Triage suggests — you decide
In the beginning, Triage surfaces prioritized suggestions: reply to this, archive that, flag this as urgent. You act on them (or don't), and Triage records your decisions locally to refine its model.
Trust score climbs
Every accepted suggestion increases your trust score. Every override teaches Triage something new. The score is computed locally — no telemetry, no profile building on any server.
Autonomous mode unlocks at 97 %
At 97 % trust, Triage starts acting on your behalf: scheduling, archiving, drafting replies. Every action is logged in a local audit trail you can inspect, replay, or revoke at any time.
Trust meter
97 % — the threshold for autonomy.
Triage computes its trust score locally from your decision history. It never shares that score with us or anyone else.
FAQ
Common questions.
Does Triage ever send my emails to a server?
Never. All email processing happens on-device inside your encrypted vault. The only network call Triage makes is the initial OAuth handshake with your email provider — and that goes directly to your provider, not to us.
What happens if I uninstall Triage?
Your vault is deleted along with the app. There is nothing stored server-side to retrieve or delete — because nothing was ever sent there.
Can I reset my trust score?
Yes. You can reset the trust score from settings at any time, which returns Triage to suggestion-only mode. Your vault data is preserved.
What does autonomous mode actually do?
It allows Triage to take pre-approved actions — archiving low-priority mail, sending pre-approved reply templates, scheduling events — without waiting for your tap. Every action is logged locally.
